West Indies beat Bangladesh  by eight  wickets in the first Twenty20 international to take  1-0 lead in the three-match series at Sylhet International Stadium in Sylhet on Monday.

Sheldon Cottrell picked up career best 4-28 as West Indies bowled out Bangladesh for 129 runs in 19 overs before Shai Hope guide the visitors to 130-2 in 10,5 over  with 55 off 23 balls.

Sakib al Hasan earlier top-scored for Bangladesh with 61 off 43 balls.

Bangladesh and West Indies play two more T20 internationals in Dhaka this week.
