Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said Bangladesh would export no natural gas to India rather sell bottled imported liquefied petroleum gas.
‘LPG is not natural gas. We import it and will export those to India after bottling and meeting the demands of Bangladeshi people,’ she said while briefing media about her recent tours of India and the US at Ganabhaban.
She accused a vested quarter of criticising the government saying that Bangladesh was going to sell natural gas to India. ‘It is never possible that Sheikh Hasina would compromise Bangladesh’s interests,’ she said.
Responding to another question, the prime minister said none involved with the gruesome murder of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology student Abrar Fahad would be spared whatever their political identity was.
