Bangladesh Nationalist Party has said that prime minister Sheikh Hasina echoed the voices of ‘Ayub-Yahya-Hitler-Mussolini’ by ‘threatening’ the agitators, who have brought allegation of corruption against the vice-chancellors, with legal action.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this on Friday at a press conference at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan area of Dhaka.
He said, ‘Bangladesh Chhatra League activists themselves brought allegations of corruption against JU VC Farzana Islam. Expelled BCL general secretary and activists also brought allegation of illegal money transaction against the VC and her family members. It’s been also published in media how the VC distributed Tk 1.60 crore amongst them.’
Ruhul Kabir also said that the PM had clearly taken her stance for corruption by taking no action against Farzana Islam.
Earlier on Thursday, November 7, 2019, PM Sheikh Hasina said that the people, who were creating anarchy on university campuses bringing corruption allegations against vice-chancellors, would have to face legal action if they failed to prove it.
