Body of drowned minor girl recovered

Divers of fire service and civil defence have recovered the body of a minor girl who went missing since she fell into a water body adjacent to Mahakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka.
The body of Sanjida Khatun, 6, daughter of rickshaw-van puller Shah Alam of Mahakhali Uttarpara in the city, was recovered around 9:50am on Thursday, said fire service control room.
Banani police inspector (investigation) Md Waheduzzaman, quoting the locals, said that the girl fell into the water body filled with filths on Wednesday afternoon.
Local people first tried to rescue the girl but could not trace her. Later, divers from fire service launched search operation and continued till midnight, a satellite TV channel reports.
The divers resumed their search operation around 7:45am today and found the body hours after efforts.
